Nan Juke Wong, 92, of Akron passed away peacefully March 9, 2013 at his home.
He was born on November 14, 1920 in Cincinnati to Kok and Gim (Wee ) Wong. He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Nan worked for B & W and retired from the Akron Public Schools. In his retirement he was actively involved with Army Reserves and several Catholic church organizations.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doreen Wong and his siblings, Dewey, Nom, Kenny and Margaret. Nan is survived by his daughters, Nareene (Allen) Beck and Gwen Wayne; grandchildren, Brian Lipscomb, April Jayne and David, Allison and Stephanie Beck; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Poy (Margaret) Wong and Sien Jue.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, followed by a private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
