Frances M. Kendall
age 91, passed away on August 8, 2021. A member of Christ the Servant Parish at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fran was a devoted wife and loving mother who encouraged her children in the Catholic faith, education and close family ties. Born to the late Bertha S. and Leo P. Gulling, Frances attended the former Mount Marie Academy and graduated from Louisville High School. Ceramics was a hobby she enjoyed and nothing gave her more pleasure than gifting her pieces to family and friends. Fran was a member of the Grow and Show Garden Club in Canton and enjoyed the camaraderie of playing cards with her friends. She was quick to make friends with her vibrant and sassy personality and relished telling and hearing good stories around the kitchen table with her family. Frances and Jim loved to watch and cheer on their Cleveland sports teams in the evening, each giving their unique commentary on the players.
Frances was predeceased by her loving husband James J. Kendall, Sr, whom she married November 27, 1954, in Louisville, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice of Akron, Ohio; sons James J. Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; Thomas E. of Ireland; Robert L. of San Diego, California; John K. of Mason, Ohio; Mark D. of North Canton, Ohio, her ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her sister Marjorie A. Monnot, as well as her nieces and nephews, son-in-law and daughters-in-law.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, at Christ the Servant Parish of Our Lady of Peace; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be on a date to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requested any donations be made to her favorite church, Christ the Servant Parish of Our Lady of Peace.
