Col. Robert C. Bruce, Sr., 82, of Stow, died September 21, 2021. Born in Cleveland, he was a Stow resident since 1971 and a member of the VFW, Military Officers Assoc. and the First Cleveland Cavalry Assoc. Col. Bruce was also a recipient of the Legion of Merit Award. Preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine and son Robert C., Jr., he is survived by his wife Dee Dee; children, Diane (David) Hasslinger, Patricia (Lacy) Strickland, and Michael (Sara) Bruce; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Kathleen Lovesee and Arleen Scott, and brother James Bruce. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, October 20th from 4 to 8 PM. Private interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, with honors provided by the U.S. Army.
