Edward Ahwajee, 80, passed away May 31, 2011 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Edward graduated from West High School in Akron and The University of Akron. He joined the United States Army Reserve where he served during the Korean War and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Edward worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and spent his winters in Florida after his retirement.
Edward is survived by his daughter, son and five grandsons.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619).
