September 2025 Presidents Notes
Welcome to September! Temperatures may be a bit cooler, but rain is forecast to still be in a deficit, unless we get the edge of a hurricane!
Plan on attending the Kent State Airport Open House and Aeronautics and Engineer Expo on Saturday, 6 September. Kent State Air Show Parking $20 a car, $5 per person to see the aircraft and the simulators. Boy Scouts Pancake Breakfast from 09:00 to 11:00. $8 adults, $5 kids 5-11, under 5 free. Bring the correct cash, please.
Also many other vendors in their food trucks. 10:00 to 16:00. Oh, and lots of airplanes. AND you can “fly” in one of the simulators. I expect that to cause long lines. You can look this up online
Our advocacy needs: Go to the MOAA website ( https://www.moaa, click on Advocacy, and send a letter for these three pending bills:
- Pass the Major Richard Star Act
- Improve TRICARE access for Families
- Support the Military Spouse Employment Act.
Now, please do not do this just once. Put it on your calendar to do this once a month for September to January. That’s five votes from each of us. The folks in Congress pay attention if they start getting lots of notices about the bills. This should take about three minutes each day to do this.
Please read this and let me know your preference:
I am thinking of having a Vegetarian option for a meal at our Christmas Party. Any comments? Beef and Chicken will be the other two options. Plated (served) meals – and start planning for what cookies you want to bring for out cookie exchange. Ho Ho Ho.
Respectfully.
